10 Reasons To Love Fall Weddings

There are tons of reasons to get married in any season. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, we love them all, but as the weather cools down, and the leaves start to change we are once again reminded of the beauty of the fall season and our undying love for fall weddings. If you needed any convincing to throw a fall wedding, we’ve got all the details! Here are our top 10 reasons why we love fall weddings.

  1. Rich Color Palette:  While there are no colors off limits, fall offers a rich variety of colors and textures that evoke warmth and romance. Whether you are drawn to more vibrant and rustic reds, oranges, and yellows, or the darker jewel tones of purples, greens, and blues, finding a color wheel of the shades that will match your wedding aesthetic is a great way to start planning your wedding day vision.

  2. Cozy Wedding Decor: Candles, hanging light fixtures for mood lighting, draped tablescapes, open fireplace, jewel tone linens, and dramatic floral arrangements. All of these cozy decoration ideas can help create a warm and cozy ambiance for you and your wedding guests.

  1. Fall Attire: Evening though the temperature is dropping and it's time to unpacking that big box of sweaters from last fall, there are still endless fall fashion choices that we adore. Whether that's a long sleeve wedding gown/ bridesmaids dresses, or incorporating a chic fur coat into your wedding look, you don't have to compromise on staying warm to look fashionable.

  1. Festive Floral Arrangements: The rich color pallet of fall allows endless bold and moody floral arrangement opportunities. Deep moody reds, jewel toned purples and greens, and of course the most classic fall color of them all, orange. There are no colors off limits, but we love to see florals that embrace all the delicious colors of autumn. We also love the idea of dried florals or the use of additional fall foliage such as fruit (pumpkins, berries, apples to name a few)  and seasonal greenery/dried leaves.

  1. Romantic Ambiance: There's an inherent romanticism associated with fall, making it the perfect season to say “I do." Getting warm by a bonfire, a candlelit dinner reception, or sharing laughs over a warm cocktail, the overall cozy atmosphere that cooler weather brings also brings us closer to the ones we love.

  2. Natures Backdrop: We love an outdoor wedding especially during the fall when the landscape transforms into a kaleidoscope of warm colors.

  3. Seasonal Cocktails: While most warm weather cocktails are served chilled or over ice, the chilly fall weather presents an additional new cocktail list of yummy warm beverages. Incorporating your seasonal favorites into the cocktail menu is a great way to add variety while keeping in the spirit of fall, whether that's hot apple cider or a fun pumpkin spiced twist on a popular cocktail, we are here for it all.

  4. Fall Weather: While Charleston weather can be a bit unpredictable, a Charleston fall tends to be a bit more mild ….the crispness of the fall air and the beauty of a fall sunset are just two of the many reasons why fall is our favorite time of year.

  1. Season Of Togetherness: Fall is a season of gathering together in the spirit of thankfulness with the ones you. What better time of year to gather together to celebrate the love between you and your partner on your wedding day.

  1. Availability: Charleston Wedding vendors and venues book up quickly, often times more than a year out. While fall is still a very popular time to get married, it can be a bit easier to find available vendors and venues than during the spring.
